Zebrafish Heart Regeneration Models

Zebrafish can fully regenerate cardiac muscle after ventricular resection or cryoinjury — a capacity largely absent in adult mammals. We use these injury models to map the temporal and spatial dynamics of cardiac repair at single-cell resolution, tracking cardiomyocyte proliferation, epicardial activation, and inflammation resolution across the regenerative timeline.
